If you’re considering moving to MN, definitely look into Bloomington.  The city is comprised of a wide array of housing and what separates it from other cities closer to Minneapolis is bigger yards and more space for single family homes.  While the city has some Homes, townhomes, and condos that were more recently built, the majority of it’s Single family homes were built in the 1950’s and 1960’s and many of the townhomes and condos that were built in the area started in the 1970’s and 1980’s.  Even though they are a little older, many have had fantastic updates and have replaced a roof, furnace, water heater or 2 due to the age of the home.  So many of these homes can also be renovated and in similar condition as newer built homes. There are several homes for sale in Bloomington, but there are also Bloomington houses for Rent.  So if you’re not quite ready to buy and need some more time, you may want to consider renting first.
